The Charcoal Broiled Helicopter Bologna Sandwich

Although it can't quite compete with America's Best Burger in actual culinary excess, Buffalo, New York's Charcoal Broiled Helicopter Bologna Sandwich certainly has it beat in the naming department.

I find the article a bit confusing, though. Is the bologna fried or merely broiled? Can any gourmands from the great city of Buffalo enlighten us?

That article disappoints without a picture of said sandwich. What does charcoal grilled bologna look like? Just what kind of lackadaisical journalism are the practicing in Buffalo anyway? ("Food coma" is not an acceptable excuse, true as it may be.)

The 30,000 calorie sandwich is certainly impressive. But it's kind of like the concept cars the auto manufacturers show off at auto shows: it's an awesome display of human ingenuity, but it's never going to be street legal.

The bologna is broiled (not fried) over charcoal.
This information comes direct from the grill man at Louie's. As for a picture, well, the Helicopter Bologna Sandwich is perhaps best left to the imagination.
